25 September 2021
Another hilarious evening of stand up comedy is booked for 25 September:
Back by popular demand, Nik Coppin returns to MC on Saturday, 25 September.
A stand-up comic for more than 15 years, Nik Coppin has performed all over the world and developed an international cult following. He has performed many solo shows at the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, New Zealand and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, all over Australia and the inaugural Hollywood Fringe Festival in Los Angeles, all to critical acclaim.
As well as the festivals, Coppin has made himself a worldwide circuit comedian having performed in Europe and Southeast Asia.
His confident, affable and energetic style of comedy is quick to build audience rapport, as he talks about subjects as wide-ranging as human nature, his experiences in The Antipodes, Europe and Asia, his extensive knowledge of wildlife, superheroes, current affairs and his mixed-race up bringing in London. His mother is English and his father is from the Caribbean island of Barbados.
An award-winning comedian who uses science to explain her life choices.
A friend once described Robyn as “enthusiasm over organisation”. And when life doesn’t go to plan, Robyn uses her scientific background to explain why, whether it be a question of love and morality, decision-making or, winning a game of monopoly.
Honing her comic skills on the British, US and now Australian comedy scene, the “exceptionally charismatic” (Voice Magazine) Robyn has tackled some of life’s biggest and most emotionally charged topics on stage, and brought them right back to the audience with personal, relatable and hilarious real-life anecdotes. This has brought her international success, winning Sydney Fringe’s Comedy Award in 2019 and was a weekly winner of the comedy award at Perth FRINGE WORLD in 2020.
The first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award, Karen was also a BBC New Comedy Awards Showcase final and Babycham Funny Women finalist, all when launching onto the UK comedy circuit in 2003. Brummie Karen has quickly picked up a whole host of rave reviews, comedy awards and references from her peers. Her material surprises with inspired and sparkling punchlines, with comic timing that is rarely less than brilliant. Already a rising star on TV and radio, she has appeared on The Last Word, Take The Mike, Sex on the Job, The Fred Macauley Show and a regular on Radio 5 Live.
