Cholsey CDT works hard to meet it’s community objectives of supporting a thriving and sustainable community by hosting and contributing to a number of FREE events throughout the year. By supporting our busy events programme in the Great Hall, you help us give back to our community in the form of family events that have become imbedded in village life. We are very proud of our community achievements and in the strong relationships we have formed with other community-focused groups in the village.
Cholsey May Day
Held on the first bank holiday weekend in May, this family friendly event is a big fixture in the Cholsey calendar. Live music, food and drink, stalls and activities; it’s fun for the whole family.

Party on the Pitch
Held on the first Saturday in July, this popular event enjoys a cricket tournament in the morning followed by live music in the evening. Bar and BBQ throughout and children’s activity from 4pm.

Cholsey Village Show
Held on August bank holiday weekend, the village show is now in its 79th year. Alongside the marquee full of flowers, produce and competition entries, is a dog show, music and Morris dancing.

Agatha Christie Weekend
Held on the second weekend in September, we celebrate the Queen of Crime who lived in Wallingford and is buried in Cholsey. Visit Events — Cholsey Village to discover what’s on this year.
CHOKO Beer Festival
Held on the last Saturday in September, CHOKO Beer Festival offers a selection of over 30 ales and ciders, and all day live music.

Cholsey Bonfire Night
Held on the first Friday in November, the village comes together to enjoy a firework display. Fun for the whole family; bar and BBQ, mulled wine, hot chocolate and more.
